Missouri Botanical Garden Whitaker Music Festival
In its 17th year, the open-air festival presents ten weeks of free Wednesday evening concerts under the stars. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic supper, baskets, or coolers. Picnic fare is also available for purchase on site. Children's Garden remains open until 7:00pm. The festival is funded by the Whitaker Foundation, which supports St. Louis arts and parks to promote common heritage, celebrate diversity, and encourage vitality within the community.

Also tour the circa 1848 log cabin of Ludwig and Salome Mertz, a dye and insect repellent garden, German vegetable garden, smokehouse, outhouse and woodshed and the Davis House, which originally was a two story log cabin with it's detached washhouse and smokehouse. On occasion, visitors may see a blacksmith at work in the Yokel barn.
